Internet Genealogy Have you heard that you can find your long lost relatives online but aren't sure where to start? Get acquainted with the many resources available at CRDL, including Ancestry Library Edition, Heritage Quest as well as many reputable, free online sites.

Do you have an eReader? Are you thinking about getting one but not sure which one? We'll teach you everything you need to know about eReaders, how to choose the right one, and how to download free books from your Chippewa River District Library.

Homework finished? Then join us after school at the library for Wii, Xbox 360, board games and whatever else we can find.

Your CRDL System is committed to helping young children in our community succeed in school. To help create young readers, we have developed a CRDL Daycare Outreach Program specifically designed to enhance and nurture early literacy skills in children up to 5 years old. Specially trained volunteers visit daycares and preschools throughout the library district to deliver individually designed story time events intended to: Teach and emphasize the different stages in learning vocabulary & teach and emphasize the different aspects of effectively delivering a story time to parents and caregivers.

Volunteers are trained and supplied with individually designed daycare kits that will be left at the daycares and preschools for them to use until their next visit.

We are currently looking for volunteers who are interested in helping children succeed in school. If this sounds like something you would like to do, please register below and join us on January 31st at Veterans Memorial Library.

We'll show you the insides of some of our favorite candy bars. Your job is to correctly identify them. We'll pick a winner from all the correct entries and that person will win a basket full of same candy bars (without a bite missing of course).

This class offers participants a chance to improve "mousing" skills during a supervised practice session. We will use the Mouse Tutorial software program and practice "clicking and dragging" and selecting text.

Files and Folders This class offers participants a chance to create folders and move files so you can take that long list of files and put them into neatly organized folders.

The CRDL Board of Trustees meet the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 4pm. The meetings are open to the public and held at different library locations throughout the CRDL System. Please doublecheck the location before attending.
